"How many affiliate links are you going to share each day or week? And where are they going to be shared? No matter what, you just need to create some type of plan for yourself. Because if you don't create a plan and you're winging it, you're not going to share consistently or show up. Suddenly you're wondering, why am I not making any money from affiliate links? Or why am I not making consistent money from affiliate links? If we don't stick to a schedule, that's where we can kind of trip ourselves up. So create your schedule, and stick to it!"

Discussed in this episode...

How much money can you make with affiliate links?

The limit does not exist. We’ve seen bloggers with less than 20k page views and less than 10k followers on Instagram bring in over $2,000 a month from affiliate sales.

Upwards of that, we know that bloggers with even larger followings are pulling in high six-figure salaries, or even more. Yes, seven-figure salaries with affiliate links! When we say the sky is the limit, we want you to know that the sky is truly the limit. How awesome is that about this career path that you're choosing? If you want to make this a full-time job for yourself, to maybe transition from a current job, or to bring in extra money, or whatever it may be; knowing that the sky is the limit on what your salary could be is pretty incredible and exciting!

What type of affiliate links should you share?

Coincide current sales with what you're currently publishing and upcoming publishes

Look at what you've got coming up, and what's coming down the road, and coincide. Maybe you know that the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is coming up;  whatever your niche is, you can plan different content around those sales. You can plan different pushes and promotions based on the sales that are coming up.

Look at the content you have planned and see what products you want to share around that content

Look at what is happening "seasonally" that you can kind of grab inspiration from.

"Impulsive" shares // Sales. Maybe it's a recent Amazon purchase, or a recent Target find that you want to share.

"Favorites" is a list of links that you can always refer to, put in a blog post, and send them to the blog post first. So they can see all the things you recommend without overwhelming them.

The Strategy

Create a Schedule! How many affiliate links are you going to share each day/week, and where will they be shared? Do you share links within certain categories on certain days? Create your schedule and stick to it. If you don't make a plan for what's going to happen and what you're going to "tentatively" share each week, it's not going to happen. So if you need to plan your next week every Friday, then that's what you block out on Fridays to do.

Save Time: If you're creating graphics to share products, make sure you have template saved for you to plug images into play, that way you're not recreating the wheel each time. These could be templates for Instagram stories, blog posts, newsletters, or your Facebook community.

Batch Your Affiliate Shares: Whether it's once a week, bi-weekly, or monthly. Sit down and create the graphics, and grab all the links that you will be sharing that week/s or month. Then if you can schedule them, schedule them! Or create a folder system on your phone or Google drive where everything is housed and ready for you to publish.

Hit Publish: Don't do all of the above work and then not publish it, what a waste! Don't sell yourself short or doubt yourself, publish babe! Even if no one responds at first, be consistent, they'll show up if you do.

Consistency is KEY. If you want this revenue stream to increase, implement the above strategy consistently!
