Some days we just need a little pep talk. I've experienced my own personal journey of changes and pivots over the last two years, and recently seen my friends and students face their own emotional journeys, that it prompted this conversation. If you're needing permission to give yourself grace, looking for encouragement, or just needing guidance on your next phase, this episode is for you!

[00:00:00] Hey friends, first of all, I just have to say you guys are freaking amazing. I had somebody pop into my DMS this week and I literally welled up there. There were literal tears in my eyes, you guys. And it was because someone. Noticed that I was starting to show up a little bit differently. They, it's been subtle, and it's not like I've come out and all of a sudden I have content everywhere again, and there's so much going on, and there's new things.
[00:00:39] It's been slow and steady things that have happened. But one of you noticed and sent me a message, and That meant the world to me. So I'm starting this episode by saying thank you because you guys are awesome. Every single time you send me a message, it truly makes my day. I screenshot every single one and save them into a folder that is called why I'm doing this, why I'm doing what I'm doing, something like that.
[00:01:08] But it's just that reminder whenever I start to feel a little overwhelmed, burnt out, questioning why I'm doing what I'm doing. It's those reminders that I save there from you guys of like, Oh yeah. This is why this is why take a break, get back to it. Let's go. And the truth is, I, if you guys look at my personal Instagram, it's like a ghost town over there.
[00:01:31] Maybe not now at the time of this episode comes out, but it's been a ghost town. You haven't really seen me over there. And it's because it hasn't been a priority. I'm. Um, you know, I'm engaging with my audience in so many different ways, like this podcast and focusing on where the money is coming in. And that hasn't been one of them, but it's also hasn't been one of them because I've been prioritizing it.
[00:01:54] So I am starting to feel more and more like myself. And if you are somebody that has had. A baby, you're probably going to understand what I am saying a little bit because I did not really know that this was a thing until I had a kid. But the best advice that I got from someone when I first had my daughter was to give myself time.
[00:02:21] I am, you guys know, y'all listen to the podcast. You know, I am an overachiever, Enneagram three, let's batch, let's get things done. Let's go, go, go. and have a hard time just like pausing and like recognizing achievements. And I know a lot of you can relate to that. What she told me was to really just be gentle and be kind with myself because it takes at least two years for your body to completely heal after you have Given birth and for your hormones to go back to normal and all of these things and let me tell you what the past Month, I have started to feel differently and I'm like Noticing just how my hormones have kind of like gone back to normal a little bit more like what they were before I was pregnant and I'm starting to feel more and more like myself.
[00:03:19] And it is absolutely amazing. So whether that is you, and you've had a child recently, or you've been through, I have a friend who has recently lost a grandfather and it was a really important. Large part of her life, and she's been derailed a bit because she's been spending so much time with him while he was in the hospital.
[00:03:43] And then now with his passing and the grieving of that, and we looked at, you know, how long this time has been for her. And acknowledge that, like, you know, this has really been like four or five months where you haven't had a normal work week because of this. There's so many things that happen in our life that derail us.
[00:04:02] And we feel like, Oh, we need to just keep pushing through. I I'm doing something wrong because I'm not performing in X, Y, Z way. And the truth is we just need to give ourself grace and acknowledge that. And, um, Like one of my friends, Amanda reader, who's been inside shift, what she always came in and says in the groups is I'm going to focus on where the money is coming from.
[00:04:26] That is what is going to get my attention. If I have the capacity for other things that will get my attention next. And that's truly what I've been doing is I've got to pay bills. I'm focusing on what I can control and where the income is coming in. And do I want to be spending time on other platforms and creating other content?
[00:04:45] Yeah. But. It hasn't been the season for me. And so, this is not what I was planning on talking on with this Thrive and Five episode, but we're going, this is, this is what, this is the conversation. We'll talk about other things later, but this is the conversation. If you're in a place where you felt like you don't have the capacity to take on something that you feel like you want to or should be, it's okay.
[00:05:10] It's a season. I got a tattoo recently. And it is the phases of the moon, which might sound cliche, but it's absolutely beautiful. And maybe I'll send a picture in my Instagram or something. It was because I read a quote and it was with a picture of the moon. And it was something along the lines to remember that no matter what phase you are in, you are still whole.
[00:05:38] And that was so beautiful to me. And I knew that I needed that reminder constantly because my gosh, do we go through different phases and seasons in our life? As women, we go through that every freaking month, right? Like it's wild. And so it was just such a good reminder. And so I just wanted to share that with you guys.
[00:05:58] My plan is that I'm, I'm feeling more like myself. I'm having a little bit more capacity. I'm probably going to start to show up in some different ways. I've created some new things for you guys and. This is the new season that I'm in. So no matter where you're at, just know that the season's okay. It doesn't mean it's forever, good or bad.
[00:06:20] It doesn't mean it's forever. But that you're doing really great, and I really appreciate you, and I see you, and it may not feel like you are seen, but I promise that We see you. That your followers do see you. Whether or not they're commenting and engaging, you're not invisible, and you're creating amazing, beautiful things, and we really, really hope that you never stop.
[00:06:48] All right, that's it. That's your little pep talk from Brie today. I love you guys. I'll see you back here in a couple days for a new episode.
