[00:00:00] I decided this year that I want to be more transparent and showing what is going on behind the scenes inside of our coaching programs. Inside Shift and Bold Fluent, we get questions all the time. That is the beauty of our coaching programs is that you guys get to ask us questions and we get to help you work through them.

[00:00:23] So one thing that I wanted to start doing this year was share more of what's going on in these programs, more of the behind the scenes. 19 and more of the things that we are helping people with every single day. So that's going to look like here on the podcast is I'm going to share some questions that people have and be able to walk you through some of the steps that we helped them with inside our programs.

[00:00:44] So today we're going to talk about A quick email welcome sequence breakdown. This is a question that we get so often. And Amy inside of shift said that she has flow desk. Yay. You know, we love that. And knows how to set up a sequence, but doesn't know what should go in the emails for a welcome sequence.

[00:01:06] Please help. So I want to quickly break that down. And the fun part about this is it is super, super fun and easy and simple. So there are four parts of the welcome sequence. Now, before I get too much further, I want to make sure that you guys know that you can head to thrive together. blogs slash flow desk.

[00:01:27] We've created a landing page there where you can learn more about flow desk. You can grab our link to save 50%. But there you can also grab our freebies, which is a welcome sequence templates. We've got four emails there that you can just literally copy paste, change the branding and you're good to go. So head there thrive together.

[00:01:49] blog slash flow desk for those freebies. All right. So the four parts of a welcome sequence. So. Just a quick explainer, a welcome sequence is anytime somebody joins your email list. So whether it's from a freebie that they got on social or signed up for on your website, you don't want to just automatically drop them into your email world, right?

[00:02:13] Where you just Get them in and then immediately start sending them out the general newsletters that you would send out weekly to your audience. What you want to do is make sure that they understand who you are, what your brand is about, and make sure that they know that they are in the right place.

[00:02:31] Because what we don't want to have happen is they sign up for an opt in. Get on your list and then start getting these newsletters without any context. And then they feel like it's just spam. It's junk because they have no connection to you. So they unsubscribe. So this is going to help your subscription rate stay high, help get rid of some of those unsubscribes and really just help your list continue to grow and nurture everybody on your list.

[00:02:56] So the four parts of a welcome sequence. When I say four parts, I mean four separate emails. So the first email that they're going to get, they're going to get it immediately. So as soon as they hit sign up with your opt in, they're going to immediately get an email that has the freebie that you promised and just a short and sweet welcome.

[00:03:16] I'm so excited you're here note, keep it super simple. We don't want to include anything extra. And I'll tell you. What's going to go in the next email. So that way you understand, okay, yes, it's coming. You're like. I'm sure one of the things that I hear is like, Oh, when do I talk about myself? When do I share, you know, who I am and all these things we're going to get to it.

[00:03:38] So that's email one and you want to send that one immediately. Then I like to have like a two day pause between mine or a one day pause and then the next email will go to them. In this second email, you want to show them what you're good at. good at. You want some credibility. So this is where I like to showcase like our top blog posts, top podcast episodes that everybody likes.

[00:04:02] Maybe it's like your favorite recipe or your favorite DIY and then also any credibility. So if you've been featured anywhere, this is a great place to showcase that and just be like, Hey, I'm legit. All right, here's some awesome things that you're going to love. This is what I'm great at. And here you go.

[00:04:21] So that's email number two. Then again, do a couple days delay. And then in the third email, you're going to set expectations. So I want you to tell them what you're going to be sending them. So I also want you to include something along the lines of, I'm going to send you free and paid resources. Here's what you can expect when you include that line.

[00:04:44] I'm going to send you free and paid resources, even if you don't have anything necessarily that you're offering right now for sale. Think of this as if you are in the future going to have a brand be able to share something in an email or even sharing an affiliate link. Okay. Um, so just going ahead and saying that up front, everybody is on the same page.

[00:05:06] Everybody understands we're all good to go. And then sharing what they can expect. So this is when you would tell them like how often you're going to be emailing them, what those emails will include, what you love to share, right? Like you're going to talk about all the. fun things that they're going to get by being a part of your insider group.

[00:05:24] That's email number three, email number four, the final one, again, do a little bit of a day or two delay. And then in this final email, this is where you're going to share about yourself and you're going to share this in a way to show how you relate to them. You want them to read this email and think. Oh, she gets me.

[00:05:42] She understands. I totally vibe with her. We could be best friends. That's what you want them to read and walk away with this email. That way, whenever they start to get your emails in the future, they're like, Oh yeah, I can't wait. I'm so excited to hear from her. Right? They're, they're pumped. They're excited.

[00:05:59] They feel like they know you. They feel like they could be your best friend. That is what this entire welcome sequence does by stacking and building on. There's a bunch of different ways that you could do a welcome sequence, but this is one that has worked so, so well for us. It's what we teach inside of our coaching programs and it's working really, really well.

[00:06:20] So this is what we suggest. So give it a try. And if you don't want to start from scratch, head to thrive together. blogs slash flow desk, and you can get these templates for yourself. All right. I'm really excited to get this started and be able to share more of what's going inside of our groups. Like I said, this was a question from Amy inside of shift our high level coaching program.

[00:06:43] And so if you are looking for help this year and are tired of growing alone, check out shift. You can head to thrive together. blog slash actually head to thrive together. blog slash coaching. That's going to tell you about both of our programs. So you get to decide which one is going to be the best fit for you this year.
