"Usually with my clients, what we do is the work that helps us get to figuring out what are these patterns of thinking, and even more important, when did they take root? Why did they take root? Because once you can see that, you can't unsee it, and then you can start to look at things in the present tense as just the present tense instead of bringing along all the baggage that we all have with us."
"Pushing things away makes us feel like we're in control. Like, "Oh, I just won't deal with this right now." But I can tell you, feelings only have one job. Their job is to be felt and when you try to ignore them and push them away, they just grow stronger until they eventually will be felt."
"Having that compassion with yourself can make a lot of difference. Then it's just saying [to those thoughts], "I'm okay. I don't need you. I'm going to release this. This isn't serving me anymore so I'm going to let this go."
"Remember that you are what's unique. You are what makes your product and service and blog different...Stop the comparison game. I know it's hard. It's easy to get caught up in a mindless scrolling of social media, and then we find ourselves at the end of it feeling worse than we did when we started. Stop doing things that don't feel good. Stop doing things that are making you feel worse. You don't have to. You get to choose. This is a choice you can make. You can stop looking at Instagram feed's that make you feel bad."
