[00:01:02] This is episode five of the series all about growing your. Audience, and it was inspired by our audience growth plans. Inside of Bold Fluence. [00:01:21] That way you get to choose. What is best for you and your business? And as soon as you join, we'll teach you the different options and get you started so you can pick the growth path and monetization plan that feels best for you. This episode is a peak behind what that looks like, so let's set the stage.
[00:01:40] Okay. Why is Facebook still working? Why are we talking about this platform? Isn't this a platform just for my parents or grandparents at this point? And. The truth is that there are still over 3 billion active users, and it is still one of the top platforms for blog traffic. So for reference, Instagram's at 2 billion active users and TikTok is just under or right at two as well.
[00:02:09] Isn't that crazy? I, Facebook has been around for so long. Yes. But what is key to me with these numbers is that it says active users. So my brain immediately wants to like argue like, oh, well sure, Facebook's been around forever. Of course, that's, there's that many users, but the truth. Them saying that this is how many active users there are and there is 1 billion more on Facebook, just shows that this platform still works.
[00:02:37] The other thing is Facebook groups are also thriving with niche communities that crave content. And yes, there is older demographics, but look at this. It means people with purchasing power. And maybe a little bit more attention span in some cases than us. And when I say us, I mean those of us that are in their thirties and younger, probably my attention span is shot.
[00:03:02] I will fully raise my hand and admit that. So with this, Facebook is not dead. It's just become smarter and so should your strategy. So there's the big mindset shift with this that we want to address, and that is that you don't need to go viral. Woo-hoo. Clapping soundtrack, please. You just need to be consistent and intentional.
[00:03:26] We really need to focus on community-focused content because that is going to perform better than just self-promotion. So it's this idea of we, of this makes my life better. This is something that. We love as a community, this is something that you are going to love. It's really focused on value over reach and engagement over likes.
[00:03:51] We're trying to convey that we wanna create a community here. We want people to engage and we want to comment back when they comment. And we're not just building an audience on Facebook, but creating a space that people will come back to. And when you do so. And when you become a page or a group that people know they can go and find X, Y, and Z, they're going to return to find X, Y, and z.
[00:04:18] So what does a 90 day Facebook plan look like? Here is how we map it out inside of bold fluence. No matter if you've been doing this for five weeks or five years, and a reminder, you get access to this full plan as soon as you join. So month one, we're gonna focus on foundations and strategy. So choose your approach.
[00:04:39] Do you wanna focus on a Facebook page or a group? Or both. How much time do you have set some weekly themes, content pillars, and engagement goals? Month two, focus on building consistency and visibility. So that looks like showing up regularly and posting with purpose. Yes, share your blog posts, league magnets, quick tips, lifestyle content, all of that.
[00:05:07] But the key here as well is to create ways that will start conversation. And that will get people talking and then join and participate in some niche groups strategically to drive traffic back to you. Month three, focusing on converting and monetizing. So that looks like adding call to actions to posts that will lead to a freebie or a product using Facebook lives or reels to increase visibility, track post performance, and lean into what's working.
[00:05:41] A lot of this is like we keep showing up. We post with purpose, we show up, we track the data, we show up, we test things. Consistency isn't boring. It's what makes you unforgettable because you keep showing up so people keep seeing you so they can't possibly forget about you. And we have content creators who are making multiple thousand dollars.
[00:06:06] Multiple thousand dollars Sometimes, like some of these numbers, I just, I'm like, I need to repeat this. Like it's 3 billion. It's multiple thousands of dollars just by posting on Facebook alone. And if you start posting short form a video over there and then working with brands or affiliates, you can do it too.
[00:06:22] Short form video is still taking off on Facebook. I would gander to say even better than on Instagram. It is just, it is ready for content. It feels like a sponge over there still just soaking up content. So is YouTube, which we'll talk about in a future episode, but, so let's first talk about some common mistakes that creators are making on Facebook.
[00:06:49] First one is treating it like Instagram, so that would be doing like a super short caption, no links, no value. We want to really dive in a little bit deeper when it comes to the content we're posting on Facebook. Ignoring groups or failing to nurture their own. We see this happen so many times, whether it's ignoring groups by not participating in certain ones, to really kind of grow your own page or your own group and using a strategy there or feeling to nurture your own, starting it and then letting it fall off.
[00:07:21] And then the community community's like, where are you? Another mistake is only sharing blog posts without context or community building. Kind of like I drop a link and go, or I drop my Instagram post, or I automatically post from Instagram to Facebook and drop it and go. A lot of people we hear that from, it's like, oh, well I pushed my Instagram over to Facebook, but it's not really doing anything.
[00:07:42] It's like, well, it's not really doing anything 'cause you're not investing any time over there. Like, throw something over there and hope for the best and hope that something magical will happen without us lifting a finger. Right. Then final mistake that we see a lot on Facebook is not using content buckets or planning ahead.
[00:08:00] What are we doing with our content? What is the goal here? What are we going to be sharing? Just again, kind of treating it like this secondary or third platform that we're not really spending that much energy on. You have to spend some energy on it in order to grow, and I'm guarantee you that if you, this is a platform that will reward your energy.
[00:08:20] So how does Bold balloons help you get there? Like I said, we have a 90 day content calendar that we are gonna get you set up, get you those three months to help you stay consistent. We're gonna give you some Facebook group growth strategy training and coaching to help troubleshoot when engagement stalls.

The Facebook Myth: “It’s Dead”
Let’s bust the biggest myth first: Facebook is not dead. Yes, TikTok and Instagram get the hype, but Facebook quietly continues to dominate where it counts: visibility, traffic, and conversions. It’s still one of the top traffic sources for blogs.
Facebook groups are thriving with niche communities, plus there are over a billion more active users than TikTok or Instagram. Even more important? Facebook users have purchasing power and attention span..
What Makes Facebook Different?
Facebook isn’t about quick dopamine hits. It’s about community, conversation, and connection. Creators who show up with value and who treat their audience like collaborators, not just consumers, are the ones winning.
That’s why we’re shifting the mindset away from virality and toward intentional, consistent, value-driven strategy.
The 90-Day Facebook Strategy for Creators
Inside Boldfluence, we guide creators through a 90-day roadmap that helps them grow their audience with clarity and purpose. Here’s what it looks like:
Month 1: Foundation & Strategy
Think of your first month as your setup phase. You’ll choose your approach (page, group, or both), define your content pillars, and establish weekly themes.
Ask yourself:
- Where does my audience already hang out?
- What kind of content do I enjoy creating?
- What topics do I want to be known for?
Once answered, align those answers with a Facebook format that fits your time and goals.
Month 2: Visibility & Engagement
Now it’s time to build consistency and show up intentionally. Month two is all about:
- Posting regularly (3–5x/week is a great start)
- Mixing blog shares, quick tips, lifestyle updates, and conversation starters
- Engaging inside other niche groups to drive traffic back to you
The goal isn’t just reach, you want to resonate with your audience. Your content should spark conversations and feel like an invitation into something bigger.
Month 3: Conversion & Monetization
Once you’ve laid the groundwork, now it’s time to start converting.
Use month three to:
- Add clear CTAs to your posts (link to a freebie, product, or affiliate)
- Go live or post Reels to increase reach
- Track performance, lean into what’s working, and course-correct what isn’t
Remember: consistency isn’t boring—it’s what makes you unforgettable.
Common Mistakes Creators Make on Facebook
Here are some of the biggest pitfalls we see:
1. Treating Facebook Like Instagram
Short captions, zero context, and reposted IG content won’t work here. Facebook rewards thoughtfulness and relevance.
2. Ignoring or Neglecting Groups
Groups are gold for community building, but only if you show up consistently. Don’t just start one—nurture it.
3. Link-Dropping Without Context
Sharing your latest blog post is great—if you explain why it matters and invite people to comment or engage.
4. No Planning, No Purpose
If your Facebook content feels random, it’s not surprising that it doesn’t perform. Use content buckets and weekly themes to stay aligned.
Why This Strategy Works
We’ve seen creators inside Boldfluence generate multiple thousands of dollars just by consistently showing up and posting on Facebook. Not from ads or from chasing algorithms, but from building trust, delivering value, and giving their audience a reason to come back.
Short-form video is still booming on Facebook. Groups are more engaged than ever. If you’re strategic, Facebook can actually be fun again.
