I wanted to chat about Increasing our income before january 1st. It's something that I am hyper focused on personally I have been looking at the numbers lately and just am not You Hitting the goals that I want to hit. If you've been following me personally over on Instagram, then you know that I have set some pretty big goals for myself to hit by January 1st.
And the thing with setting goals. Is if we do not take strategic action and make an actual plan to hit those goals, they're just things that we put out into the universe and cross our fingers and hope for right and I don't know about you, but I cannot live like that. I have to have a plan. I have to know what am I doing to actually make these goals happen.
What am I doing to stay focused on them? So that's what I wanted to just hop on this live real quick and share with you guys, because I know we're already feeling that holiday buzz or feeling the, maybe the weather is starting to change a little bit, or you're hoping it's going to change soon. And we're wanting to see that growth by January 1st.
So what I wanted to share today with you guys is like three things that I'm doing. And then how you can apply it to yourself. So three things that I'm doing. Number one is I am working on increasing my audience engagement. So this is across multiple platforms. So what this looks like for me is I am working on posting at least five times a week over on my personal Instagram.
We have our own strategy for Thrive's Instagram account. That's separate from what I am personally focusing on right now. I have my assistant that helps me with that. And we can dive into that strategy if you guys are curious about that. But for me, personally, I'm trying to post at least five times a week.
And I know that can seem like a lot, or at least it seems like a lot to me. And I've talked about this over on Instagram, just how I am. able to create that much content without burning out and without feeling overwhelmed. Do I sometimes feel overwhelmed? I am human, but what I am trying to do is like repurpose content.
What I have found for myself and even for you guys, as I'm working with you one on one, whether you're in shift or in the profitable blogger society, Is that you already have so much content that you can pull from and just repurpose. So if you're feeling like you don't have that creative spark or that creative inspiration, pull from past content, pull from something from earlier in the year or something from last year that you can repurpose.
That you can reuse recycle. So maybe it's making a new reel with the same type of content. Maybe it's turning that into a carousel post. Maybe it's taking that reel and turning it into a long form blog post. There's so many times when we don't actually have to reinvent the wheel. We just need to look at what we've done in the past and put a new spin on it.
So that's how you can increase your output without it taking. More time without increasing the time that you're actually having to work on things. So that's one thing I'm doing to increase my audience engagement. The second thing is showing up more here in this Facebook group to chat with you all. So you may have noticed like the last couple of weeks, Brie is here a lot.
Brie is showing up. Brie is around. Brie is going live on Facebook again. And that is because I want to engage more with you guys, and we'll talk about how you can apply that to yourself, but for me, this is part of growth is I need to connect with my audience, right? That's what we need to do. I need to talk with you guys.
I need to see what's going on in your business. How can I help? Where can I point you to to a podcast to listen to or a resource, or if I think you should join shift or the profitable blogger society, I'm going to point you in that direction. I'm getting more involved with you so I know what's going on and how I can best serve you.
And then along with that is trying to have more one on one conversations. If you want to have a one on one conversation with me and just say, Hey, Bree, message me and I will send you a DM. I've done that with like three people this week already. Um, who have been like, I want to learn more about this. And I'm like messaging them one on one.
I love doing that. I love chatting with you guys. So if you want to chat about what's going on in your business, just let me know and I'll shoot you a DM. I'll slide into them DMS. So that's what I am personally doing to increase my audience engagement. And now a quick word from our sponsor. Are you ready to get paid for your creativity, have more flexibility and make a consistent monthly income without overwhelm?

So the second thing that I am working on to increase my income is pitching. So I don't personally do. Um, like sponsored posts in terms of like, uh, like your, what you would kind of normally think, like, if I were, I, I wouldn't necessarily work with somebody like Land O'Lakes butter. I don't know why that popped into my brain, um, to do like a sponsored Instagram reel or something.
However, what I am pitching for is for advertising for our podcast and then amplification over on social media. So we are creating social media content for our advertisers. Um, It's just not necessarily usually a physical product. So, but I am increasing my pitching in order to increase my income by the end of the year.
So what I am doing is minimum of five pitches a week, but this week I've decided I'm really going to try to bump that up. My goal is I'm going to see what it takes for me to bump that up to 20 pitches a week. The way that I am doing this though, and staying on top of this and not drowning is templates.
So I have an email template. With my pitch ready to go, I am not tweaking it a ton. And if you need to tweak it at all, based on the. Brand that you're pitching have it just be like a short sentence or something like one or two sentences that you can just tweak a Little bit But your goal here is going to be more so like a really solid pitch that really sells you really well and then volume Cranking those out getting those emails sent out.
The only way that I'm gonna be able to do 20 is by having That in place a solid template where I don't have to change much and I can just Volume you get it out as much as possible. It is a matter of me getting in front of brands showing them What we can do for them and how we can help them Seeing where we can fit into their marketing plan for the rest of the year and then getting that conversation started.
So I'm increasing my pitching. And then the third thing that I'm really focusing on to increase my income is strategic content. So I'm looking, you know, I'm recording this on August 20th here, live in the Facebook group with you guys. And so I am really looking at what can I do September through December.
With our content, what type of content can I create that is bingeable? So what I am looking at over on my Instagram is creating content series. Right now I am doing a challenge for myself and I am posting like day one, day two, day three, that type of thing over on Instagram in the hope that somebody will find me on one of those days will pop over to my account and we'll want to binge the rest of the days and binge that content and then hopefully gain a new follower as a result of that.
That's my strategy with it, but with that, looking at what other type of bingeable content can I create? So what I'm trying to be strategic with is like, what type of bingeable content can I create on the podcast? So you guys are wanting to like, listen to multiple episodes back to back to back because they're all connected.
What type of bingeable content can I create in the form of blog posts or YouTube videos? That's the type of thing is like, what is going to make somebody want to like, not just watch one reel, not just read one blog post or watch one YouTube video, but what's going to want to make them click and click and click and watch multiple.
So that's what I'm really focusing on. The other thing for strategic content is I'm looking at what type of emails can I send that is going to drive traffic where I need it. So whether that is Needing more page views for ad revenue, or whether it is needing to bump up some numbers for the podcast, or if that is to drive traffic to one of our products or one of our coaching programs being really strategic with the podcast.
The emails that are going to go out over the next four months. And I mean, obviously I need to be strategic with every single email, but really hyper focusing on how, what is my email plan from now through the end of the year? How is it going to best serve my audience? And then how is it going to drive traffic where I need it to go?
And then the third thing I'm looking at is who can I partner with to grow during these months? So strategic content in that form. So, um, Whether that is doing a collaboration with somebody or a giveaway or whatever it may be. So I'm reaching out to right now, fellow podcasters that we can collaborate with on podcast together.
So we've had, um, my friend Emma on the podcast before she has a podcast called the creative edition. And what we're working on together is. A podcast episode that's almost going to be kind of split in half. So it's bingeable on hers and on ours and we'll like refer traffic to each other. I don't know if you guys have seen this before.
I feel like I used to watch old, old, not old. I used to watch like OG YouTube videos that were like that, where they would have like another YouTuber come on their account and then point them to each other's account and I loved it. So I love thinking of like, what was that OG stuff that like used to drive traffic for people and used to help build each other's audience.
Collaborating with others is one of my favorite ways to grow. So I'm looking at things like that. I'm looking at things like, can somebody give me a shout out in their next email to their own list? And can I do the same for them? So how can I collaborate with others? So those are the three things that I am personally doing.
So let's look at like, how can we apply that to you? So how can we apply this? to you. So increasing your audience engagement, what do you need to do to make that happen? Do you need to post more consistently? Do you need to show up more often? And again, looking at can that look like repurposing content? So it's not taking you hours to brainstorm and storyboard and get all the shots and everything, but rather you can kind of start in the middle of that Plan because you've already done something similar in the past.
You need to just redo it. Right. How often do we spend so much time on our content? Let's say on a reel that we're like, Oh, that one did like, I was so freaking proud of that reel. I had this happen to me recently. I was so proud of it. I'm like, this content is so good. And I'm still hopeful that like maybe in a couple of weeks it'll like get more views, but.
It's not landing how I wanted it to, but it's still good content, and I know that you guys want to see it. You just have it. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to repurpose that. I'm probably going to turn it into another real, um, and maybe just design it a little bit differently. I'm going to turn it into a carousel post.
I'm probably going to turn it into stories and Who knows? I could even turn that into an email. So there's so many different ways to repurpose content without having to reinvent the wheel. And like, especially if you're feeling drained on creativity or just tap for time, repurpose. Can you show up more to chat with your audience in different ways?
Do you have a Facebook group you can chat with them in? Is it on stories? Is it in your inbox? Whatever it may be like, how can you increase your audience engagement? And then, like I said, for me, pitching. So if pitching brands is something that is on your radar, get yourself a good template, get yourself something solid that you can be proud of and feel confident when you're sending this out.
This is something that I help our girls inside of the Profitable Bloggers Society and Shift look at. And so if you are in one of those programs, shoot me a DM or drop it in our Facebook group over there and be like, Hey Bree, can you look at this for me? So if you've been on the fence, thinking about joining one of our coaching programs, that's what you're going to get.
You're going to get eyes on your things to make sure that you are being effective, that you are putting your best foot forward and that you're going to get responses from things like a pitch email. Sometimes we need a second set of eyes to just make sure like, Hey, before I go and blast this out to a hundred people.
Is this actually going to land and actually going to give me a return? So get your template solid and then strategic content, like really, really step back and look, I, I want you guys to really think like, I don't want to just dive into creating content between now and the end of the year. Just going for it without thinking just like, Oh, this is fun and inspiring.
This is fun and inspiring. Is there time and a place for that? Yes, absolutely. I want you to have fun and be inspired. Do that. But also take the time now before things get really, really crazy with the holidays and with the end of the year content that you're creating, really get strategic. How am I going to make the most between now and the end of the year?
I asked this in the profitable blogger society and I said, what is one thing if you could have one thing happen by January 1st, what would it be? And I want you to focus on the strategy for that. So it, for some of them, it was like increasing their page use and they wanted to get on Mediavine for some.
It was, um, More affiliate sales, right? So whatever that strategy is, hyper focus on creating the strategy for you to hit that. Whatever that goal is, hyper focus on creating the strategy to hit that goal. Don't just put it out there and then keep running with everything else that you're doing. You have to actually make plan.
So that way you're going to hit that goal. Like I said, These are things that we really hyper focus on inside shift inside the PBS. Both of those programs are incredible. Just depends on where you're at in your journey with your brand and how much time and. How much support you're wanting right now. So if you want to hear about either one of those, drop me a comment, send me a DM.
Like I said, I am increasing like more one on one conversations. That is what is really important to me right now is chatting with you guys so I can help you the best way possible. So whether that's sending you something free and a free resource, or whether that's me being like, Hey, you really should think about joining shift.
I think it could really make a big difference. Huge difference to your bottom line by January 1st, I'm all let you know and leave it up to you. So shoot me a message and let's chat. All right. Talk to y'all soon.

Revenue Generating Strategies for Your Brand
As we approach the end of the year, one topic that's top of mind for many content creators, including myself, is increasing income before January 1st. Personally, I have set some substantial goals and have been hyper-focused on hitting them. If you've been following me on Instagram, you'll know I've set out ambitious targets to achieve before the year ends.
To make this more actionable, I wanted to share three things that I'm doing in my own business and the strategies you can implement in those areas to increase your revenue before the end of the year!
Strategy 1: Increasing Audience Engagement
I am focused on reaching more people with content I've already created—this focus is around my personal Instagram account. What exactly does this look like for me:
- Consistent Posting: I am trying to post at least five times a week on my personal Instagram. We also have a separate strategy for Thrive's Instagram, managed by my assistant.
- Repurposing Content: Creating new content can be overwhelming, but repurposing existing content can alleviate this pressure. Take a look at past content and see how you can reuse or repurpose it, ensuring your content output remains high without requiring additional time.
- Engaging in the Community: I'm also showing up more in the Thrive Facebook group, going live and engaging with the community. This direct interaction helps me understand your needs and provide tailored support. This episode was repurposed from a Facebook Live inside the Thrive Facebook Community!
Strategy 2: Effective Pitching
The next approach I have to increasing revenue is effective pitching to podcast sponsors that align with our audience and the purpose of our content. Here are a few ways that I'm approaching this and making bigger impact on my current approach:
- Using Templates: Pitching is crucial to secure advertising and brand collaborations. To streamline this process, I use templates for my pitches. These templates are designed to target brand needs while requiring minimal adaptation for individual pitches.
- Increasing Volume: While I typically aim for five pitches a week, I've ramped up my efforts to 20 weekly pitches. The key is volume and consistency. More pitches mean more opportunities, and the only way to manage this without burning out is by using well-crafted templates.
Strategy 3: Strategic Content Creation
The third thing I'm focused on to increase my income is strategic content.
- Bingeable Content: I'm focusing on creating bingeable content from September through December. This involves planning Instagram series, binge-worthy podcast episodes, and multi-part content (think blog posts). The idea is to keep your audience engaged and coming back for more.
- Email Strategy: Another component is a strategic email campaign to drive traffic where it’s needed. Whether it’s increasing page views for ad revenue, promoting podcast episodes, or driving traffic to products and coaching programs, a well-planned email strategy is essential.
- Collaborations and Partnerships: Collaborating with other content creators and brands can significantly grow your audience. Whether it’s guest podcast episodes, joint giveaways, or email shout-outs, working with others can help amplify your reach.
How You Can Apply These Strategies
So in reviewing what we're doing at Thrive, let's see how we can apply these same strategies to your brand:
- Start with Audience Engagement: To implement these strategies yourself, start by engaging more with your audience. Consistent posting and repurposing past content can help you keep up with regular engagement without overwhelming yourself.
- Develop a Strong Pitch: If brand collaborations are your goal, create a strong pitch template that you can use repeatedly with minor adjustments. The aim is to focus on volume without compromising the quality of your pitches.
- Strategic Planning for Content: Take the time to step back and strategize your content for the remaining months of the year. Define what type of content you want to create and how it will help you reach your goals.
If you're ready to take your own brand, blog, or content to the next level, it might be time to join Shift.
