If you are a girlie that loves to plan things, this is going to be your vibe. If you are a girlie that hates to plan things and loves to fly by the seat of your pants, this is also going to be a vibe for you because I'm going to make it. Easier for you because you probably, if you're listening to this, you almost maybe didn't want to click on it and you're like, Oh, Bri, I know I need to like, get on it with holiday content stuff, but also I don't like planning and I don't like having like, almost like a micromanaged schedule.
I feel like it can kind of feel like yes. Yes. All right. Let's, let's make this easy for all of us. Okay. And you know what? The year is doing it for us. September through December is the easiest time of the year to put pencil to paper and get your ideas down. Why? Because it literally has things planned for you.
And these events are going to happen regardless of if we are prepared or not. What tends to happen if we do not plan and we do not get ourselves organized In August, before it all goes crazy, because you guys know how crazy our schedules get, right? Whether it's with work and brands popping up and wanting to do last minute campaigns, or it is literally life and our family and friends.
I was just talking to a friend today who was like, somebody reached out to me already about planning something for Christmas. And she's like, Oh my God, I guess it's that time of year. It is, it's going to happen so fast. So. What we don't want to have happen is for you to get to a holiday, let's say Halloween, and it to be a week or two before and you'd be like, crap, I'm really behind.
Like I should have had this out probably a few weeks ago and now I feel like I'm behind and is it worth even doing right now? Right? We can all raise our hands and say that we have been there and that it has happened. And that's okay. Take comfort in the knowledge that you are not the only one that's happened to, but let's get on top of it this year, girls.
Let's make it happen this year and be planners, okay? If you don't, you're going to miss something or skip something or forget something or you'll get behind. And we do not want that vibe this year. Okay? So what I want you to do. Is get your Asana, get your air table, your notion, your paper planner, whatever you need, and you're going to go through and let's say you're going to get one color marker and you're going to highlight all of the holidays that are coming up, okay?
Because it doesn't matter whether you are a DIYer, a mom blogger, a food blogger, it does not matter your niche. Your content is, can, will be affected by the holidays over the next few months. And it is truly wise to capitalize on the different seasons. It's wise to capitalize on them for Pinterest, for SEO, for Spikes, and for Waves.
that are going to come through with your content. So that way you can see influxes and see growth and see those peaks come throughout the rest of the year. Okay. So September to December, we're going to go through and highlight all of the different holidays. Then let me tell you what your content calendar is going to fill in so fast because all you're going to have to do is think of what are some of those things that I really, really want to do this year.
What are some of those things that I wanted to do last year that I didn't have time and I said I was going to do them this year? Let me think about this for Christmas. Let me think about it for Thanksgiving, Halloween, and for fall in general. Okay? And you're going to probably fill in at least six or seven posts, right?
Blog posts, real ideas, content series, anything. Okay. You're going to just keep slowly filling this in. And I say slowly, but also like, you're probably going to do this in less than an hour, especially if you just sit down, focus, turn on some sailor Swift and focus on getting this done. Right. Then. You are set up and ready for success.
Now, can you leave yourself some wiggle room? Absolutely. Can you leave yourself room for inspiration and creativity to strike? Absolutely. But let's get those staple pieces locked in so that way we are ready to go. And that way it doesn't hit two weeks before Thanksgiving, a week before Thanksgiving. And you're feeling like crap.
It's way too late for me to post that recipe. Now, is it even worth it? Right? We don't want to feel that we don't want to do that this year. Okay, so I'm going to challenge you right now. Set aside time this week, set aside one hour to just go ahead and knock everything out. Put it pencil to paper, whatever you got to do, get your content calendar sorted for the rest of the year.
All right, I'll see you back here next Tuesday to continue this topic of fall and holiday prep mode. Let's go. I'll see you then.
