[00:00:00] Friends, I am busting out the confetti today because I'm so proud of myself. 30 days ago, I decided to join Stan's Dare to Post Challenge on Instagram and post for 30 days in a row. I wanted to prove my. I wanted to prove to myself that I could do it, that I could be consistent and that I could show up and I freaking did it 30 posts in a row.
[00:00:31] Like what in the world? I, I'm, I'm just so proud of myself. I really am. And if you have not told yourself that you're proud of yourself lately, I want you to practice doing that. That's something that, we practice with my daughter. She is. Oh my God, she's three. You guys. How do I have a three-year-old now, y'all, for my OG friends that have been around listening to this podcast forever, how do I have a three-year-old?
[00:00:57] This is insane. But it is something that we practice. Of course, we tell her that we're proud of her, but something that we ask her a lot is, are you proud of yourself? Like, that was really good. Are you proud of yourself? Because it's not something that comes naturally to me. And not naturally to most of us.
[00:01:15] So anyways, uh, you guys, 30 days of posting in a row, I'm freaking, freaking pumped. So let me tell you what I learned after these last 30 days.
[00:01:25]
[00:01:43] The word that I have been holding onto lately is visible. I have definitely been one to hide behind the screen behind people. I'm coaching hide behind the mic, but I know that to get to the next level, I need to step out.
[00:01:59] And this is probably something I've talked about multiple times here on this podcast, but this challenge was the push to do just that, to really be visible. Why, why this challenge and why at this point of time? And honestly, I do think that it just was like the stars aligning and them sharing that, Hey, we're doing this challenge.
[00:02:24] And I was like, you know what? Yes, it's time. It's time for me to do this. I, I am ready to stop, getting in my own way and I'm ready to see a change. I'm ready to learn some things and now is the good time. Let's do this. So, stan is a all-in-one creator store, so it's truly one of the easiest ways to help you make money online through if you're selling a digital product courses, if you are selling like one-on-one services at all. It's all hosted through like something really simple and clean. You put it in your Lincoln Bio and it just makes it so easy.
[00:03:06] I love it. I think if you're going to sell digital products, it's, it's one of the top ways that I think you can go because it's just so simple for. Audience to make a quick purchase. There's not a whole bunch of things that they have to click through. You don't need a massive sales page. You don't need all these different things.
[00:03:26] There's not like hoops for them to jump through or multiple pages for them to click through. It's really, really simple and that's why I love it so much. Plus they're very creator focused, like it was built for creators, and by creators. And I just really, really love that. I love the team that they've built over there.
[00:03:45] The way that they're running their business seems really legit, and like the owner of the company really cares about the people that he employs, and that's really important to me as well. So it's a really cool company. And so I have followed them for a while. I've used Stan, myself. And so they were doing this 30 day challenge where you had to post every single day to your feed, and it either had to be a ten second minimum, length of reel or a carousel that had at least four slides.
[00:04:15] So. That was it. It started in February and then I finished it. And so I wanna share, you know, what I learned by posting every single day for the last 30 days. First thing. I did not go viral. Okay. And I didn't grow by huge numbers. That's not why I did it. I wanted to join it and do it because I wanted to commit to the consistency, and I knew that if I was consistent, I was going to learn a lot about myself.
[00:04:49] And so. That is the second thing is that I uncovered a lot of my own BS when I went into this challenge. I, I really wanted to keep the door open and post about anything that I wanted to, I didn't want to put myself into this box. Okay. And about 20 days in. To the challenge. I learned that by doing this, it was something that was holding me back.
[00:05:22] And I felt like it was something that was keeping me safe for some reason. Allowing myself to, yeah, of course you can post about that. Sure. You can fit that in. You can make this work. You could, yeah, you could totally tie it in, like people want to, I was telling myself these different stories, like, oh, well people wanna know the person behind.
[00:05:42] You know, X, Y, and Z. You know, if you're gonna coach them, they need to know who you are, right? So these were the different things that I was telling myself and, and you know, I could argue it the other way and argue that that way of thinking was right. But what I learned 20 days into posting every single day was that it was actually hindering me from sharing my true thoughts and feelings about things.
[00:06:05] It was really diluting what I was capable of. And so the third thing that came from this was finding my voice. I really didn't expect to come out of this feeling so sure about how I wanted to show up on social media specifically. But, but really, like it applies across the board for my entire business.
[00:06:29] But this was the best outcome for me because now I have a solid direction for growth and content. Moving forward. So no, I didn't grow by hundreds of thousands of followers, but I really uncovered what was holding me back and figured out. Where my voice is and what I want it to be in this online space.
[00:06:55] And that is something that I've really been kind of floundering with.
[00:06:59]
[00:08:28] I've been very consistent here on the podcast and I believe that I put out really great content here for you guys. I'm very passionate about not, you know, giving you any fluff or anything that would be a waste of your time.
[00:08:41] I. But outside of that, I was really struggling with figuring out where I fit in and was really having a lot of imposter syndrome, and I think that is why I was spreading myself, or not spreading myself thin, but allowing myself and my voice to be diluted. Was this fear of, you know, well, what if I, I say this and you know, somebody is more of an expert than me, and I'm saying all these things, knowing that I coach you guys on these exact freaking things.
[00:09:12] And I think as I was doing that, I was like, I coach on this. I teach people this. Why is it something that. I'm struggling with and it's because, you know, I, yes, I can coach somebody, but I needed to just go through this process and coach myself through it, and that's what really ended up happening for me.
[00:09:32] Was uncovering my bullshit, you know, really being like, Brie, why are, why are you doing this? I did, really the last 10 days, I would say was when a lot of the big mindset things and a lot of the big, like, oh. Like, aha. Like I, I get it now. I understand. I've, I, I've figured out what has been my roadblock in a lot of ways.
[00:09:55] It happened in the last part, and I think that right there shows why this challenge was so important is that I didn't uncover that until 20 days in. 20 days in. So. It's really hard. It's really hard to commit to that process, right, of 30 days of posting every single day. But I knew when I went into it that I would come out different.
[00:10:23] I didn't know what it was gonna be. I, I truly did not know. It could have gone honestly, a million different ways. It could have gone that I had a couple things went viral with the mom content that I was posting at the beginning, and I could have completely gone in that direction. But what happened for me is that, you know, day 20, after that 20 day mark is when I started to realize some of the things that were holding me back and what I needed to adjust in order to really see growth, moving forward in 2026.
[00:10:52] So I'm really excited for the future of me showing up and posting and, there, there's one more thing like I, I wrote down that I wanted to share is that I did learn, you know, with, having to post every single day. I learned how to edit quicker. I learned some new techniques and I have a lot of really big fun editing ideas that I still don't fully know how to do.
[00:11:15] But after posting for that long, I feel a lot less intimidated to try them out now. So. I wanted to share this process and what I learned with you, because a lot of times we do see people do like different sprints, right? They're, they're trying something for a long period of time, or they're doing this series on Instagram and you're like, what was the result?
[00:11:36] I wanna follow, I wanna see how it went. And so that's why I wanted to share this with you guys. And you know, I, I would encourage somebody, like, if you need some kind of push like this, that what would happen? Or just going into it with like, I know that something would happen. I don't know what it would be, and I didn't know going into it, I don't know what it would be by pushing myself to do 30 days of posting every single day in a row.
[00:12:03] But I know that I would learn something that would make a monumental difference in my business. Would you do it right? Like would you challenge yourself to that if you knew that on the other side? Something major was going to change for you. And that's what happened for me, and that was the gut instinct that I had when I saw this challenge.
[00:12:24] Again, I didn't know what it would be. It's, it's probably something I, I, I mean, I may have, like, if I had to write down a list of like 10 different outcomes that could be possible, this was probably gonna be on the list. I knew I was floundering a bit and I, I hoped to really hone that in, but. I didn't fully uncover, I didn't know I was going to uncover all of the things that I did uncover.
[00:12:48] And, you know, I talked, um, I believe in last week's episode, maybe it was, I think it was the week before the one where the episode about going from a hobbyist to A CEO and how so much of this is your mindset and mindset shifts that we have to make. And I think for me. I've always been very aware of that, but going through this process, I'm so grateful that it unlocked something else for me mentally.
[00:13:15] It's been, it's been such a good year for me, honestly, just with really pouring into my mental health, really pouring into. What I want and what I am not okay with. And this goes both per, both personally and professionally, boundaries that I am setting in place, um, how I approach difficult situations. And this year has tested me.
[00:13:42] This year has, I mean, tested all of us in terms of a lot of different things. But sitting here recording this today, I feel very solid in who I am. And this challenge just helped. Take that to the next level. So.
[00:13:59] I'm not really sure how to wrap this up, but I, I guess my question to you guys is, you know, would you ever do a posting challenge? Is that something you guys want us to host even? I'd be open to something like that. I, I just really think that there was something really powerful about showing up for myself in this way.
[00:14:18] That I never could have predicted. So I want you guys to think about that. I want you to think about, you know, where can you show up for yourself? What can you push yourself to learn? Where can you push yourself outside of your comfort zone? Maybe it's doing a challenge. Maybe it's joining bold flus and allowing yourself to be coached, allowing yourself to be guided.
[00:14:36] You know, that could be very far out of your comfort zone or thinking you don't really need it. But I think what gets exciting is looking at like, okay. I know something will change. Hopefully it's this, right? You probably go into something like that thinking like, oh, I'm probably gonna do X, Y, and Z.
[00:14:53] But I, I would encourage you, no matter what you decide is go into it with an open mindset of, I know I'm going to grow. I know that something is going to change in me, something is going to change for my business, and I'm excited to see what that outcome is going to be. And yeah, that's my story. So I'm really excited to see, you know, how this progresses.
[00:15:15] I am excited to share my true unfiltered voice outside of this podcast. I do it a lot here. Except for cursing. I, y'all would not know this, but I, um, I curse quite a lot and I try not to on the podcast. And, and now I try not to do it on podcast too because I never know what little ears are listening.
[00:15:36] And I know we have a lot of mamas listening. So there, there may be, you know, a little bit of that un filtering happening over on social media. But, um, you know, it just goes with owning who you are. And, and of course it goes beyond cursing. You guys know that. But just owning your quirks, owning your personality, owning you know, that like, Hey, I, I really have good advice in this area.
[00:15:59] I don't know everything, but I have really freaking good advice that's backed up with research and with results from other people that I have helped and that I have coached or that I have done myself. Right? Apply it to your own situation. Where can you show up in your content with just a little bit more confidence in who you are, in your voice and in what you have to bring to the table, and then authentically, unapologetically share it.
