329: Secret to Affiliate Income Growth

[00:00:00] I got a work review inside of shift the other day where Kim was asking for help with the developing a strategy for affiliate marketing. She wants a way to keep up with it all efficiently. So if you're feeling the same way, you're in the right spot. The first thing that we want to do. To set this up efficiently is to set our strategy.

[00:00:26] Oftentimes I find when somebody asks me for help with creating something that is efficient, what I have to remind everyone and myself is like, It's okay to just pause for a second. Let's get the structure set up and then we are going to be running much more smoothly and it's going to be worth taking.

[00:00:48] Sometimes it only takes an hour to just get these systems set up. So first part, setting your strategy. I want you to look at where are you sharing? How often are you sharing? Are you sharing? Those are the three things you need to nail down. If you want your income to increase with affiliates, then you cannot just wing it.

[00:01:14] You cannot just post when you feel like it. and expect it to increase. You have to figure out what is my strategy for it. With affiliate strategy, you have to know that consistency is key. So I'm going to walk you through some of the points so that way we can make sure that we are being consistent and efficient, making more money, all the things.

[00:01:37] So the first is you need to set a schedule. So that part, going back to strategy, you need to look at. When, where, and what. When you're sharing, where you're sharing, and what you're sharing. You've got to set your schedule. And I'll talk more about this like if you don't have a schedule at all right now and you're just getting started, I'll share that at the end, kind of what I suggest for getting started.

[00:02:04] Now, if this is your main source of income, if affiliate marketing is where you are making 80%. Even 60%, 50 percent or more, right? If it's your main source of income, you're going to find yourself batching things a couple times a week. Now, I don't want you batching things every single day and working on this every single day.

[00:02:27] We'll get into that in a second, but. If it's your main source of income, in order to keep yourself consistent, I want you to find yourself batching things one to two times a week. If it is not your main source of income, I only want you batching things one time a week. And my reason for this is if you try to do all of the tasks for affiliate marketing every single day, you're going to run out of time.

[00:02:50] or burnout for doing other tasks to grow your business. You're not going to have time to do those other things and to grow those other revenue streams, to grow your audience, to do everything else that goes along with growing a brand. So in order to make this efficient, We need to get organized and schedule where you can.

[00:03:12] So, in order to be able to batch things, you need to have things organized. So, my suggestion is looking at having folders that are organized by week and day, scheduling where you can schedule on apps like LTK, and Make it so your links and images are easy to grab and you're not having to search for them.

[00:03:37] You want to be able to get in and out quickly since you spent so much time batching it out, right? So the purpose of batching things once or twice a week is that is when you sit down and look at, okay, this is everything I am going to share for the week in a week. Affiliates. These are the products I'm going to share.

[00:03:57] These are all the links. I'm going to sit down and gather everything together in one place, get it super organized. Maybe it's a spreadsheet, maybe it's a folder for your images. So then that way, when the week comes and it's Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and it's time to manually post, you can just grab, copy and paste.

[00:04:19] them into the platform of your choice, right? When you're having to go day by day and be like, okay, what am I going to share today? Okay. Let me go and find those affiliate links. Let me find the images that is going to take you so long every single day that you're sharing affiliate links versus if you sit down on, let's say the Thursday or Friday.

[00:04:43] of the previous week and do that legwork to grab all of the images, all of the products that you're going to share, grab all of your affiliate links and put them in one spot. That way when you go to share them, it's taking you like maybe 10 to 15 minutes versus an hour, two hours, three hours, four hours, however long it takes, right?

[00:05:03] When you sit down and batch one day, it's going to go so much faster. So that's why we want to get organized and schedule as much as you can. My final tips for this is If you need a place to start. So you're like, Brie, I don't have, I would like to start sharing more affiliates every time I do my income goes up, but I don't know where to start with a consistent schedule.

[00:05:28] Start with sharing two to three affiliate links, two to three times a week. It doesn't have to be every single day, or I've talked to some other girls that are very leery about posting affiliate links every single day. And that's totally fine. That's totally valid. You don't have to trick your mindset there a little bit, but you don't have to.

[00:05:51] And so, If you want to just share a couple of times a week, that's fine. If you want to share more frequently, do so. But if you need a place to start, start with two to three links, two to three times a week. The last tip that I have for you is to utilize mini chat. Don't neglect using mini chat for your stories, for your DMs, and for your posts, your reels, your carousels.

[00:06:14] Everything there. You can also use many chat over on Facebook as well. And they've just introduced an option to use it on Tik TOK. It's going to save you so much time and help you increase your income without having to manually grab links and share them consistently. So that is my suggestion for affiliate income growth.
