[00:00:21] On this podcast, I wanna make sure that this podcast is 100% for you guys, so ask me anything. Okay. Thrive Together blog slash ask Bri, or just head to the show notes for the link. Alright, let's start the show. Hey there. I'm Bree P, content creator, coach, and your host of the Thrive Podcast. And I'm here to help you build a brand you're proud of with clear strategy and real support.

[00:00:47] Let's dive in.

[00:00:51] I don't know about you, but I want to start the new Year Strong. And if I think about sitting at my desk on January 1st and having nothing but a blank. Screen a blank or messy notebook and white pages in front of me. I'm not going to feel like I'm starting off on the right foot, so I want to invite you to come along with me and let's get organized and remove all the junk so we can start the year excited instead of overwhelmed.

[00:01:18] By the end of this episode, you're going to have a great plan in place and a January content series, so you can go into the new year prepped, prepared, and ahead of the game. Ready? All right. First things first. You need to clean your space. I want you to go through old notes. I want you to find them all and either throw them away or organize them, or.

[00:01:48] If you're anything like me, I'm currently, like, I look down at my desk right now and there's some post-it notes, here's some pages, scrap paper that I wrote on like, oh my gosh, there's, there's always stuff everywhere because I have to write it down or I'll forget. And so when I have an idea or something, I'm like, let me just jot it down.

[00:02:07] The problem is if I do not organize it and put it somewhere, it just stays that idea out of my head, but just on that piece of paper and is forgotten. So I want you to put what you need into your new notebook or into Asana so that way they're there for you when you need them and you don't lose them. I want you to clean your desktop and empty your trash.

[00:02:32] This is physically and virtually, okay? So I want you to go on your computer, clean off your desktop, clean your downloads folder. Empty the trash, and then physically wherever you work, if you have a dedicated desk or if you just like grab notebooks and grab everything and like kind of move it throughout the house, I want you to clean that as well and take out the trash.

[00:02:57] Okay? The next thing I want you to do after you've cleaned your space, here's your reward, ready. Order yourself a new planner or notebook, or go to the store and buy one. When was the last time someone told you that you needed to do that? High school, college, elementary school. Normally it's myself telling me, don't buy anymore.

[00:03:18] You do not need a new notebook. The last thing you need is a new one. Use something you've already had that you've only used one page in. Did you ever have a pen pal growing up, or maybe you really wanted one? That person who'd send you letters with stickers and doodles and tell you about their life, there was something so special about it.

[00:03:39] Checking the mailbox, seeing that envelope with your name on it, and knowing someone took the time to write just for you. That's the feeling my friend and I wanted to bring back with the Cozy Post Club. For $9 a month, you're sent an envelope that feels like mail from a friend. It's got a handwritten note, a cozy recipe, a poem, a beautiful art print, and a little surprise.

[00:04:02] It's all the magic of having a pen pal without having to write back unless you want to. Just pure, simple, joy delivered right to your door, perfect for yourself, or send it to a long distance friend, so you. Both get that. Hey, I got a letter feeling every month. Sign up at the cozy post club.com. That's the cozy post club.com, because some of us never outgrew wanting mail that matters.

[00:04:30] Now let's plan a January content series. There are four full weeks in January, so let's plan a four week content series. Either four reels, four blog posts, or four YouTube videos. Your platform of choice. Okay? Now is your time to have fun with this. I want your first thing that you are creating in January to be something you are so excited about.

[00:04:57] What's a content series you've always wanted to do but have put on the back burner or talked yourself out of? Let me share some ideas to get you going. First, I want you to ask yourself. How well your audience knows you. Do they know what your voice sounds like? Do they know what you look like or do you tend to hide behind the screen?

[00:05:16] If so, I think it's probably time for a series all about you. Get out from behind the screen, let them see you and hear you, and help them get to know the person behind the brand now if they already know you, and that is not the case. Great. Now what is something that your audience. Always loves to do in January.

[00:05:38] If you're a food blogger, could you do a content series on four recipes that are easy to make and add extra veggies in that they won't even notice? Or how about four different mocktails, or how about throwing in something that you're like, nobody else has thought of this. I'm gonna do my unique spin on this.

[00:05:55] If you're a home creator, how are you transitioning from holidays and Christmas decor to cozy and inviting for winter months? I know that's something that. That always feels quite stark in my home is when we put away all of the Christmas decor and all of a sudden my home feels empty. And it's kind of nice for a minute because everything feels clean.

[00:06:17] But I still live in Minnesota and we're like going into the thick of winter for the next few months after Christmas. And so I need things to still feel really cozy. So there's an idea for you. If you're a fashion girly, what about cozy ways to stay warm in winter? If you're starting to get tired of your clothes, maybe you already purchased winter clothes and you need new ways to style them.

[00:06:43] If you're a mom influencer, how are you organizing all the toys that your kids got for Christmas? Please tell us, or how are you keeping them entertained when it's cold outside? I need some mamas to create this content, please. The whole point of this is to get the plan written out so that when you go to film or write, you know, already know exactly what you're doing.

[00:07:06] And ideally, you can knock this entire series out in one go. So it doesn't have to be this overly complicated project thing. If you're a food blogger, I understand those recipes can take quite a bit more time, but maybe you can think of something that is going to be a little bit simpler and something you could film all in one go.

[00:07:28] But how exciting is it going to be to just having a fun content series already planned out on the calendar, maybe even started and ready to go as soon as January one hits. So if you want more ideas and support for 2026. This is your sign to join Bold Fluence inside, bold, fluent. You're gonna get everything you need to make 2026 the year you make some serious money.

This Episode is Brought to You By The Cozy Post Club:

Remember the magic of getting a letter from a pen pal—stickers, doodles, and stories just for you? The Cozy Post Club brings that back. For just $9/month, you’ll receive a handwritten note, a comforting recipe, a beautiful art print, and a little surprise tucked inside every envelope. No replies required. Just joy, nostalgia, and real connection delivered.

Why January Content Matters for Influencers

January is your chance to reintroduce yourself, reignite your audience's attention, and realign your content with what they’re craving right now. People are actively looking for new habits, inspiration, and solutions. That makes it the perfect time to show up with content that connects.

You can’t pour from an empty cup. That’s why step one isn’t strategy, it’s space.

Step 1: Declutter Your Creative Environment

This isn't just about tidying up, but instead it’s about making a mindset shift. When you physically and digitally clean your space, you create room for new ideas to land.

  • Physically clean your workspace. Toss out old notes, receipts, and clutter. Wipe down your desk. Light a candle if you're feeling it.
  • Digitally declutter. Clear off your desktop, empty your trash, and sort your downloads folder. If you use Asana or another project tool, give it a mini audit.
  • Organize loose ideas. Find those Post-it notes, voice memos, and scribbled ideas, and either toss or log them into your planning system.

Step 2: Buy the Notebook (Yes, Really)

We rarely give ourselves permission to make small investments that spark joy. So here it is: go buy that fresh planner, notebook, or pen set you’ve been eyeing. This isn’t indulgent—it’s preparation. Having a fresh tool to organize your thoughts can completely shift how motivated you feel to start.

Step 3: Plan a Four-Week January Content Series

There are four full weeks in January, and that’s the perfect container for a themed series. Choose your platform (Instagram Reels, blog posts, YouTube, or newsletters), and brainstorm a topic that both excites you and serves your audience.

Not sure where to start? Ask:

  • What’s something my audience is dealing with right now?
  • What have I always wanted to create but talked myself out of?
  • How well does my audience really know me?

Inspiration by Niche

  • Food bloggers: Four easy veggie-packed meals, cozy winter comfort foods, or a mocktail series.
  • Lifestyle or home creators: Transitioning your home from holiday chaos to winter calm.
  • Fashion influencers: Four ways to re-style your winter wardrobe or cozy outfits you actually wear.
  • Mom creators: Organizing new holiday toys, indoor play ideas, or routines for cold winter days.
  • Business coaches or creators: Goal-setting series, content batching tutorials, or “reset your biz” workflows.

Choose what you want to talk about, because if you’re excited to create it, your audience will be excited to consume it.

Step 4: Batch It Like a Pro

Once you have your four topics or themes, carve out time to film or write them all in one go. This isn’t just efficient, it’s a gift to your future self. You’ll be able to enjoy the start of the year without scrambling to produce content at the last minute.

Even if you're not a "batch creator," just having the outline or scripts prepped will lighten your load.

Step 5: Start the Year Feeling Ahead—Not Behind

There’s something powerful about hitting publish on January 1st with content you’re proud of. It signals to your audience (and to yourself) that you’re in it for real this year. This content series can be the runway that propels your next big growth season.

Starting the year strong doesn’t require perfection—it just takes intention. When you give yourself the space to reset, the tools to plan, and the permission to create content that excites you, everything changes. You’re not meant to do this influencer thing solo. If you're tired of second-guessing, burning out, or piecing together random strategies from Instagram, Boldfluence is for you. Come hang with us, get support that actually moves the needle, and let’s make 2026 the year it finally clicks.
