Hey friends, welcome back to the Thrive Blogger podcast. It is a new month. I don't know how it's August already, but it is. And if you have been around for a while, you know what that means. That means it is time for me to talk to you guys about setting yourself up for success for the rest of the year.
So that is going to be the theme for August. Every Thrive in 5 episode, we're going to talk about fall and holiday prep mode to be able to set you up for success. So today we're talking about fresh fall and holiday pins. At the time of this episode coming out, you need to be pinning your fall and holiday content from Last year it is not too soon and we want to make sure that whenever anybody goes to search for something whether it is a pumpkin spice recipe or something for Halloween, we want your blog post to be the ones showing up on Pinterest.
So what does this look like? This looks like going to your old blog posts and creating fresh posts. Pins for them. That is the key here. You do not want to just go and repin your old pins from old blog posts. It's not going to work that well on Pinterest. The hope is that every year they stack. So you have more and more pins on Pinterest to expand your reach and to grow your page views.
So that means we need to create fresh pins for your old blog posts. Hopefully you guys have templates for this. Yes, right? If not, I'm going to leave some links for you guys to get your hands on some templates for Pinterest. They're going to be in the description below, wherever you're listening in our show notes.
And we'll have those links for you there to make your life easier. So pin those old blog posts. Make sure you're also pinning your August blog posts. Multiple pins, right? Aim for at least like four pins per blog post. Okay? The next thing to consider, opt ins. What options do you have for fall and for the holidays?
Okay, do you need to refresh your landing pages? Do you need to make some options for the fall and for holidays? Because you guys, this is such a crucial time of the year. So many people see huge page view growth, see huge boost. Income, whether it's from affiliate sponsors, see a growth in your email list because of seasonal content.
We're going to be talking about seasonal content throughout the end of the year and also into next year. And if you guys were a part of our Pinterest workshop that we did in July, you know, that Natalie talked about the importance of seasonal content and how that is going to help you. Boost your page views throughout the year.
You're going to think of it like as waves in the ocean, right? Where one's going to hit and then it's going to subside a little bit and then one's going to hit and then it's going to subside a little bit. That is the power of seasonal content, especially when you're optimizing it for Pinterest and SEO.
Optins are the same thing. That's why you want to make landing pages for your optins because we want to create pins that go straight to those landing pages and get you those email downloads. This is a stackable strategy year over year over year, and you don't have to do any of this manually. Like I said, make sure you're using templates.
It's going to save you a ton of time. Do not be creating a brand new pin design every single time. No, no, you need to get to where you're sitting down to make pins for your blog posts and able to do it and create four in less than 10 minutes. Okay. That is our goal. That is what we're wanting to do. And this is a stackable strategy.
We're going to keep doing this. We're going to optimize Pinterest. We're going to really lean in on Pinterest this year. I know so many of you have been struggling with Google and the updates and all of that that's been happening with their quote unquote, helpful content update. I'm hearing rumors that some of you are starting to see an uptick and starting to see things go increase a little bit on your page views from Google.
That's awesome, but we're not going to put all of our eggs in one basket. So we're going to get tailwind set up. We're going to have fun with Pinterest. We're going to do this quick and easy with templates and we're going to see results. this year. Okay. Next Tuesday, I'm going to be back talking more about fall and holiday prep mode.
So see you back here for that.
