Let me show you how our bold fluence creators are turning their blogs into income machines with 90 days of intentional strategy. Welcome to the Thrive Podcast, where we believe creators deserve more. More money, more freedom, and even more love for what they do.

I'm Bree P, your coach for content creators. And I know the struggle, the long hours, the endless ideas, the feeling that success is just out of reach. But here's the truth. You've got what it takes. And this podcast, it's your shortcut to getting there from strategies that actually work to behind the scenes insights.

We are unlocking your potential one episode at a time. So if you're ready to turn your creative hustle into a thriving business, let's get started.

This is episode two of the series all about. Audience growth, and it was inspired by our audience growth plans inside of Bold Fluence because you know over here that I fully believe that as a content creator, you need to be able to make money and grow your audience the way that you want. So what we've done is we've created over 25 different growth path combinations that you can choose from.

For your business. So no matter what you're feeling drawn to or if you don't like a certain thing, there are different things and a path that you can choose that works for you. So as soon as you join, we'll teach you the different options and get you started. So you can pick the audience growth plan and the monetization plan that works best for you.

And this episode is a peek behind what that looks like. So today we're talking about. Our blog growth and how we can make this work for us. So does blogging still matter? And in 2025, is that something that you should start if you don't have a blog or revive? If you do have a blog or continue growing if you've been working on your blog?

So blogs are long form, searchable content that can drive traffic and eventually. Some passive income, they are still very valuable and still a really great plan for long-term growth and long-term strategy. The mistake that we're seeing happen is when it is treated like an afterthought behind a social media platform.

Instagram, for example, right? If you are solely Instagram focused, and then maybe throwing content over there and then mad because it's not really landing. Blogging is a completely different machine than social media platforms, and you have to treat it as such, right? Just like you have to do things differently on Instagram than you would on TikTok or differently than you would on threads, right?

It's, it's a different platform and so there are different nuances to it, and inside of Bold Fluence, we really help creators treat their blog like a business asset, not just a hobby or something that is secondary and not given a ton of thought. Because at the end of the day, your blog is one of the only platforms you can own.

Your blog and email, and every blog post is a deposit in your future bank account. It's long lasting, and yes, it can actually be passive ish in the future. And I say ish because. There are some things that you have to keep up and tweak and maybe push to the front, but when you compare it to something like Instagram or YouTube or TikTok, those are platforms that you're having to constantly be creating new content for.

With a blog, you can get to a place where you are just maybe updating new blog po old blog posts where you're just updating old blog posts and maybe releasing a new one every so often. One of our members is doing just that and gets over 50,000 page views during her slow months just by updating old blog posts and maybe releasing one new one a month.

And she's able to do that while she has a full-time job still. So there's a big like kind of mindset. Shift when it comes to blogging, because it can feel very overwhelming if you aren't doing it or if you haven't done it in a while and you don't need more and more and more blog posts. You just need to make sure that you have the best strategy.

It's not about volume, it's about what you do with the content that you already have. So if you're spending time elsewhere on the internet, let's say your primary focus is Instagram. Okay. Don't feel like, oh my gosh, this is going to take me 20, 30, 40 hours a week, because you have to create multiple blog posts a week to get things rolling.

In fact, I would rather you start slow and steady. Start with two solid blog posts a month. Make sure that you take your time learning how to do SEO correctly, utilize Pinterest to get traffic and focus on creating evergreen posts that will drive traffic for you year round. So evergreen. There's two different ways to approach it.

There's like seasonal evergreen content. So think of things like Christmas posts or Valentine's Day posts, right? So they are evergreen in the fact that they will repeat over and over again and still be relevant next year, however, only at specific times of the year. Just solid evergreen post means it's relevant, whether it is June 1st or January 1st, it does not matter.

Maybe it's something like you teaching somebody how to choose the right rug for their room, right? That is relevant no matter what day out of the year it is. So that is more like solid evergreen. What I like to teach and encourage people to do with a blog is to focus on evergreen content, whether it's seasonal or whether it's just.

Evergreen. Evergreen. I need to maybe come up with a different word for that, but. Evergreen rather than anything that's more, so not necessarily trendy, but could have an expiration date. So an example of this could be if you are a fashion blogger and you are wanting to share your outfit and affiliate links to it, most likely those affiliate links aren't going to work several months down the road and not next year.

Right? So let's say you're posting some cute fall outfits and. You are sharing links to all of these things. Those affiliate links might not necessarily work next year, but if you were teaching somebody how to style a certain type of jeans, that is evergreen, right? Because we need to know how to style jeans year round.

And those ones, yes. You can also include. Affiliate links. It's just a matter of making sure that you're going in periodically and making sure that they're still updated, that they're in stock or changing them out if you need to. But the majority of that blog post could stay the same. So that's what you have to figure out for your niche is what are those topics that I can talk about that are highly searchable, that people are asking questions about that people need to know.

And so they'll perform well on things like Google or Pinterest, and yes, drive traffic from whatever sources you already have running. Growth on this platform doesn't come from constant creation, but it rather comes from optimization and visibility. It's not about writing more, it's about getting your content to work harder for you.

That's what I love about a blog is that. It's not something that you're having to crank out every single day. So let's say you're going all in on a social media platform right now, and you're starting to feel a little bit of that overwhelm or burnout and wondering just how long you can sustain this for.

I want you to consider where can I go in and start working on a platform that'll allow me to have longer form content but will last a bit longer? So what does a 90 day blog growth plan look like? That's what we teach inside of Bold Fluence. So whenever you join, we help you. All right? Let's just map out the next 90 days, right?

Let's not go in deep and be like, all right, the next five years you're gonna do this, and for the next 365 days you're gonna do this. Like we wanna keep it to where it is manageable for you. Get you rolling, get you started, no matter where you're at, along the journey, get you something customized to you.

So. Within the first 90 days, we want you to look at a few different things over those first three months. So the first one is setting your traffic foundation. So knowing your numbers is so important whether you're starting at zero or whether you're starting at 10,000. We need to know your numbers. We need to refresh some of your top performing blog posts if you don't have any blog posts.

Then cool. We need to outline some and get a plan in place so you can create some. We need to create a content calendar that focuses on SEO and seasonal traffic. So setting that foundation, getting things really established is what we are gonna spend time on in that first month. And you'll notice with all of these different audience growth tracks that I'm gonna share in this series, it's all.

Hopefully to you going to sound pretty manageable. I am never gonna overload you with things if you are able to like work ahead. Amazing. But I would rather give you tasks that you can really master well and then work ahead if you have the capacity. But I don't wanna burn you out. I don't want you to join bold flus and be like, oh my God, I have so much homework to do.

No, I want you to join Bold flus and be like, okay, there are things to do, but I'm gonna do them strategically so that way I can make some money, see some results, and be able to do this for a longer period of time without burning out. So that was a sidebar. Um, let's jump back. In month two, we're gonna focus on boosting your visibility.

So focus on one or two traffic platforms. So, so maybe it's like Pinterest, maybe you're focusing more on, on SEO, maybe you're trying to get your traffic out there through social media. We're going to create pins, share to groups, start collecting emails and test your site's, user experience. And then month three, optimizing.

For monetization, we gotta make some money. So we're gonna look at your blog sidebar, adding some internal links, include affiliate links, look at, um, creating content ahead of time and guiding new readers With the start here page, you already have great content. You guys are brilliant. I say that all the time, but truly, you guys are so creative and genius.

It just is time to build systems around that genius so that way more people can see it and experience it for themselves. So some common mistakes that slow growth with a blog is. First of all, treating your blog like a side project. The second mistake is posting without purpose, so just writing blog posts and not going into it with a full strategy.

So no SEO, no share plans, no plans for visibility. After you post this, no. Making sure that it is actually going to perform. That's what I mean. Number three would be ignoring analytics or not using top Post Your Advantage. We wanna pay attention. That's why we talk about, you know, in month one, setting that traffic foundation, we want to really focus on that and make sure that we're optimizing things because we want to make use of money.

Okay? So we have to use all of that data to our advantage. And then the other one that, um. Well, it's part of it is more common not optimizing for mobile right now. It's typically a matter of just making sure and checking to make sure that the theme that you purchase for your blog is mobile optimized in 2025.

I would say a majority of them are you just kind of wanna check on your user experience. The other one would be not optimizing or focusing on email list growth. And we're gonna do a whole episode talking about email and how to focus on that for 90 days. How can Bold Fluence help you get there? You're gonna get the exact 90 day roadmap for this.

So I talked at the beginning about how you're going to get plans over 25 different plans for audience and for monetization. Over 25 different combinations that you can choose from, and then you get to jump in where you are at. So everybody is running at their different pace, right? As we all are in this world, right?

Nobody's at at the exact same spot. So you can jump in today. Get started, figure out which plans you want to run with and start making progress. And then we have amazing support systems built in throughout to encourage you to answer questions and to help you by giving you feedback and coaching and support so you're not doing it all alone.

And then you're gonna build intentional growth habits, not like this. Hustle feels like such a bro marketing term to me now, but no hustle energy around here. Okay? We are not doing that. We are growing in a calm, slow, manageable way that is going to make us all a lot of money. So if you're tired of wondering where your blog isn't growing and ready to actually build the kind of traffic that leads to income.

This is your sign inside, bold, fluent. We hand you the strategy. We're gonna give you the tools and walk with you every step of the way. Why Blogging Still Works in 2025

Blogging isn’t dead. It’s just been misused.

When creators treat blogs like a side hustle—or worse, a content dump for their Instagram captions—it doesn’t deliver. When you treat your blog like a business asset? That’s when things start to change.

Here’s why blogging still matters:

  • Searchability: Your posts are discoverable via Google and Pinterest for years.
  • Ownership: No algorithm can take it away from you.
  • Longevity: Evergreen content keeps working long after it's published.
  • Monetization potential: Through affiliate links, product sales, email growth, and more.

If you want more traffic, more freedom, and more income—your blog should be at the center of your strategy.

Your 90-Day Blog Growth Plan

Inside Boldfluence, we help our creators follow a custom roadmap. Let's take a peek behind the curtain at our blog growth track.

Month 1: Set Your Traffic Foundation

This is where we build your base by focusing on your goals:

  • Identify your current traffic sources and performance
  • Refresh top-performing posts (or outline foundational ones if you're starting fresh)
  • Build an SEO-driven content calendar
  • Choose a blogging schedule you can actually stick to

Pro tip: Start with just two blog posts a month. Prioritize quality over quantity.

Month 2: Boost Your Visibility

Now that you have a foundation, let’s get eyes on your content. My recommendation is to look at the following areas for visibility:

  • Choose 1–2 visibility channels (Pinterest, SEO, social media)
  • Create and schedule pins for Pinterest traffic
  • Share posts in niche-specific Facebook groups or communities
  • Start collecting email subscribers
  • Test your site’s user experience on desktop and mobile

You don’t need to be everywhere. You just need to show up consistently in the right place.

Month 3: Optimize for Monetization

Now it's time to make your blog profitable. A few ways that you can start to monetize include:

  • Add internal links to guide readers through your site
  • Insert affiliate links where relevant (and keep them updated)
  • Create a compelling “Start Here” page to guide new visitors
  • Plan out your next month of content in advance

Your blog becomes more profitable when you guide your reader to take action—whether that’s a purchase, a download, or joining your list.

What Kind of Blog Content Should You Create

Focus on evergreen content that solves problems and answers questions in your niche.

  • Seasonal Evergreen: Content that repeats each year (e.g., holiday gift guides, back-to-school tips)
  • Timeless Evergreen: Content that’s always relevant (e.g., how-tos, tutorials, styling guides)

What exactly does this look like? A fashion creator might post “10 Fall Outfit Ideas” (seasonal) and “How to Style Wide-Leg Jeans Year-Round” (timeless). A business coach might post “Quarterly Goal Planning Template” (seasonal) and “How to Price Your Services” (timeless).

By combining both, you’ll create content that consistently drives traffic—year-round.

5 Blogging Mistakes That Stall Growth

If your blog isn’t growing, chances are you're making one (or more) of these mistakes:

  1. Treating your blog like a side project - Inconsistent posting and lack of strategy lead to stagnant traffic.
  2. Publishing without a purpose - No SEO, no share plan, no traffic strategy = missed opportunity.
  3. Ignoring your analytics - Your top posts are gold mines. Optimize and update them regularly.
  4. Not optimizing for mobile - Most of your traffic is mobile—make sure your blog looks and functions beautifully on every device.
  5. Neglecting email growth - Your list is your most valuable asset. Use your blog to grow it intentionally.
